1987-2011 Jo has been involved in the research and implementation of Arts and Crafts finishes and decorative art techniques, with an emphasis on those specified by Gustav Stickley in his magazine "The Craftsman", 1901-1916. She has created interiors in the Craftsman Style to house one of the most important collections of Gustav Stickley furniture and decorative art objects, as well as an extensive collection of works by his contemporaries.

Other design and consultation projects at Crab Tree Farm include: The Summer House, Harvey Ellis House, Craftsman Cottage, Lodge, Main Cow Barn, New Garage, Main House, Tennis House, Little House, and English Pavilion.
